A gentle pause from the pace of everyday life…
Step away from the pace of everyday life and spend a restorative morning at Whip’s Farm, surrounded by open fields, our herd of horses and the peaceful rhythms of Chiltonville Valley.
Presented in collaboration by Whip’s Farm Wellness and Jordan Hospital Club this half day retreat brings together three guided experiences: Equine Facilitated Learning, Gentle Yoga and an immersive Sound Bath.
Visiting Whip’s Farm, a historic 200-acre family-owned working farm along the scenic Old Sandwich Road is an experience in itself. The sights and sounds of the farm offer an incredible setting to slow down and connect with the beauty of the Valley.

Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL)
EFL is a guided, non-riding experience with horses which encourages presence, connection and self-awareness
Time to breathe.

Gentle Yoga
Be at ease on your mat and find inner ease through gentle movement and breath to nourish both mind and body.

Sound Bath
For deep rest and relaxation, immerse in layers of sound and vibration. Offering a chance to simply be and receive.

The Retreat Experience
Guests will gather into groups and flow through three 45 minute experiences: Equine Facilitated Learning, Gentle Yoga and an immersive Sound Bath. A 45 minute intermission offers time for refreshments, restrooms and enjoying the surroundings of the farm.

Whip’s Farm Wellness and the Jordan Hospital Club have come together around a shared commitment to mental health and well-being. Through this special event, we hope to offer an experience that supports your well-being while also raising meaningful funds to support the health of our community.

Proceeds from this special event will benefit behavioral and mental health services at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital of Plymouth. Your participation helps provide needed funding for crisis intervention short term counseling, early prevention programs, connections to community resources and community outreach.

Horses invite us to be present. Through interaction and relationship with them, we have the opportunity to notice our emotions, patterns and responses as they arise in the moment.
Here at Whip’s Farm we offer Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP).
EFL supports awareness and personal growth, strengthening emotional regulation, connection and communication skills.
EFP brings the horse into the therapeutic process offering another pathway for growth and healing. With the support and guidance of a licensed mental health professional, experiences with the horses provide a way to explore emotions, responses and relationships as they arise in real time.

Things to Consider:
This retreat takes place outdoors, on our spacious farm and includes walking between each experience and in the pastures with the horses, sometimes over uneven natural terrain. Please wear comfortable closed toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Light refreshments, snacks and water will be provided throughout the day.
If you have mobility or accessibility needs, let us know during registration so we can support your participation as much as possible.
Rain Date/ Cancellation Policy: Registration is intended for ages 16 years old and up and is non-refundable. In the event of inclement weather, the retreat will be rescheduled for October 4, 2026 and all registered participants will be notified by email. If the event is rescheduled, your ticket will automatically transfer to the rain date. If the rain date must also be cancelled, your registration fee will be donated in full to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital of Plymouth in support of its mental health programs.
